2012, So Far
After saying goodbye to 2011, I spent the first week of the New Year at the cinema or in-front of the television; watching movies.
Didn’t expect to fight the crowds to see We Bought a Zoo. The film was so popular in Whangaparaoa with SOLD OUT screenings all week. Later on, my family joined me to see Tower Heist, which was weird, we rarely go to the cinema together. Two movies in one day. As they say, “Start as you mean to go on.”
Have been busy doing all the domestic chores though. I cooked, I cleaned, I baked, I sowed. It feels some sort of Amish home study course. Had nothing left to watch over the weekend so I popped into the DVD store to pick up a few weeklies. I rented Heathers, Certified Copy and The King of Comedy.
Well it is certainly a quiet time of year. The city is dead. No work. No uni. Everybody still on holiday. I just don’t know what to do with myself.
