Today is a good day for internet freedom. US lawmakers have backed off  support of SOPA, the wildly unpopular Stop Online Piracy bill amid  “blackout” protests on high profile sites. In an effort to show its users what the internet would look like if SOPA was passed, Wikipedia went offline for 24 hours.
